If you're converting a vtec engine to carb I'm not tuning it.

Now a y7 with a proper cam and intake to dual keihin carbs, low pressure fuel pump, and standalone MSD ignition control.... mmm. Fun summer car with hardly any wires.

Why would you downgrade any car from EFI to a carb?

They haven't made any carbureted cars in the united states since the 80s, and there's a reason why.

Dude, seriously, carbs are only superior to fuel injectors when we are talking hot-rods with lots of displacement and raw power to take advantage of a perfectly tuned carb, efficency downfalls aside you can't beat the power with FI. Even if you somehow sucessfully convert it to carb the performance would be worse IMO because of how the Fit's engine is so centered on efficency...without major tuning you'd upset the balance of the engine IMO.

maybe look at upgraded injectors or a spoon throttle body but keep the carbs in the past with their righteous peak: muscle cars.

My stepdad has a '70 boss mustang with the 302 swapped 351 cleveland with an 850 quadra jet carb, completely custom exhaust and a 4.30:1 rear drive...that thing is a BEAST...the several days out of my entire time spent in high school that I got to drive that thing--lets just say it's a total chick magnet. And the sound? People break necks to see what made it...
