Another review of T1R Ver1 axle back muffler **video inside**
I just borrowed another local Fit freak member's T1R ver1 muffler last week & finally get to install the muffler after the lapping event. FYI I'm using a Megan 4-1 header, stock cat, SPOON B-pipe with the T1R muffler this time, and I'm comparing this setup with SPOON street "oval" muffler & the T1R ver2 muffler.
With the SPOON street muffler is the quiet-est setup compare with the T1R. It's the best at off the line low end response, on & off throttle response etc. But once it comes to mid to high end, it can't beat the T1R ver1 & ver2 muffler.
Both of the ver1 & ver2 muffler revs up quite a bit faster. And there's more pull in 3000rpm+ range. The ver2 muffler's got about the same noise as the SPOON setup at idle, and it gets a bit louder than SPOON once rpm goes high. The ver1 muffler is the loudest among the three of course, but I won't say it's noisy(noisy means annoyingly loud to me). The exhaust note is really deep in all range. So far I didn't get any complain from my brother starting up the car 630am in the morning when his window is wide open, with my car just parked downstairs.
So here are the videos of the two T1R muffler setup(video taken at different time):
