short shifter help asap

short shifter help asap

how in the heck do you get the shifter out of the housing for the t1r shifter, i am so confused on how you would do this without 4 arms.

here is a pic of where i am at:

They have a do it yourself..look it up.....u need two flat head screw drivers...it would be helpful if u could find a buddy that can help you out

i looked at the diy for the mugen one, could not find the t1r one. i have been prying for hours.

if you look you will see 4 clips pry one at a time with a flat head screw driver. after you have the shifter out let the shifter sit in boiling water to exspand the bottom nylon bushing and pry it off.

just take your time and press in the 4 little clips that is holding shifter down. it will take alot of time but it will come out eventually.

okay. Its just every time i get one clip up i work on another and is slips back in. Taking a break till tomorrow, haha.

i pushed the clips in from the side and it worked great try that. get a couple of screw drivers and wedge them in each clip and it should slide out

finally got that piece out. Now how do you get the side part out where the spring is? Do you take the whole thing apart?
