weapon r street v. dc sport ceramic

ok bottom line

everyone has there own opinion yes

but does the dc really corrode and rust after 1 year or have they improved

and does the weapon r street still leak and not fit flush with the stock cat? do you still need the washer?

have they improves?

this is like the hardest thing ever picking out parts haha

I bought my DC used over a year ago and it hasn't shown the first sign of rust. The weapon R is one of those hit or miss things I believe, they have their good ones and their bad ones. The general thing on Weapon R seems to be that they do a lot of their product refining after the first batch has hit the street and come up flawed. I refer you to the debacle with their intake manifold which was intended for the JDM cars and wouldn't work on the USDM worth a damn. For the small additional cost i would go with the DC....

No leaks, fits like OEM, and no CEL. The o2 sensor screws right back into place above the collector. If you check in the DIY threads you will find a very good DIY on changing the header written by Tofuman, it is a huge help.

I have had the Weapon*R on my car for 2 1/2 years now and have never had any issues. No leaks and the installation was pretty straightforward too.

One of the things I noticed is that my stock header was actually pretty badly misaligned with the cat. There was a ton of shear force on the bolts, and when I undid them, the two pieces were several inches apart. I guess they just force them into place and use beefy bolts at the factory. The Weapon*R header wasn't any different, I just bolted the cat into place.

I can't say I noticed any real gains, but I also don't usually accelerate hard. Suspension mods are a LOT more fun on a slow car like the Fit IMO.
