you'd be blocking the rotrex oil cooler (i think) and you might as well install a bov since you're replacing all the piping

i dont think youd have any problems at all other than the blocking of direct airflow to the rotrex oil cooler, but i'm sure that can be fixed

Whether you do an inter cooler or not you can gain performance with hood louvers..... The problem is the under hood temperature.

Smile

..... I thought my car was relatively cool under the hood until I realized how much stronger it ran when ambient temperatures were 70 degrees or cooler.... Heat has 2 times the effect on power loss on a boosted engine than N/A.... In stop and go city driving an inter cooler isn't going to be as effective as it would be with a louvered hood and just venting the hood alone will show a power increase on a super charged Fit.

It actually doesnt need to be much bigger than that... Net gain for a bigger FMIC is only going to be about 2-3whp more over the KW top mount.

Think louvers and methanol/water injection if you really need to cool it down..... An engine oil cooler, 160 degree thermostat colder plugs and wrapped header will also help.

Louvers/venting the hood using washers = drop of IAT around 15-30 degrees F, and much faster cool down after the heat builds up from boosting. That's my experience with my kit & venting the hood anyways.

If you don't have high under hood temperatures why would you go to so much trouble to mount a FMIC?
