KW supercharger w/fmic??
The intake inlet is mounted high under the hood.... Allowing the heat to exit through the hood instead of being trapped lowers the intake temperature as well as the temperature of everything else under the hood and would increase the efficiency of an inter cooler.... Louvers are old school passive technology as is spacing hood hinges to allow a gap for heat to escape through and it works whether you are moving or sitting still simply because heat rises.
All done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So intake temps used to be around 114 to 140 and over, once in awhile at 100 but whenit goes to 114 or more I notice a big loss in power. So the harder I drive the car the less power I would feel because of increased temperature. Now with the FMIC my intake temps are as cold as when I had an cold air intake and constant, the power is always there....one drawback though is I lost about 1 to 2 pounds of boost but the way colder intake temp makes up for any power loss I might of lost. Now all I need is a good tune! This turned out to be a A+ for me!!
Saw the link you sent me Texas Coyote. Would really like to see how the look on your car, not sure it would be so good for me however as Long Island, NY gets c-c-cold winters and summers where it's above 100 only a couple of times.
I can live with the KraftWerks intercooler, B&M transmission fluid cooler, and MAYBE(not sure I'll need it for highway commuting) the KraftWerks oil cooler when it's finally introduced.
Sorry for the thread hi-jack OP.
