btw blitz or any other throttle controller doesnt remap anything it just amplifies the signal making the throttle pedal feel more responsive.

I thought the Blitz actually changed the ratio of pedal pressure to throttle opening. Whatever. ImtheFit, when I looked at the pics of your engine I thought you were running a Weapon R intake manifold and a cold air intake with your bored throttle body. Thats why all the questions about those two things that you apparently don't have. LOL I just need to look at pics more closely before I run off at the mouth. Maxbore got back to me and said the current price is $100 bucks and the finished diameter is 4 mm larger than stock in case anyone cares to send one to them.

seems like this would exacerbate the non-linear response of the throttle pedal.

blitz controller doesnt open the tb any more than stock... just makes it respond quicker.

oh very cool.

might be how the photos were taken but it doesn't look like a perfect seal. hold the tb up to the light and guage how much light seeps through, if its done well there should be next to no light seeping through.

the car idles fine.. you dont need a 100% seal.. that would cause the engine to bog out and stall.

It also states on the Maxbore website that almost all DBW throttle bodies do not close 100% when disconnected from the car. And what Dew said also...

that statement is highly inaccurate.

the throttle body plate should have a strong seal against the throttle body housing. The idle air control valve takes on the task of preventing the engine from bogging or stalling at idle. Without a solid seal, it complicates the ECU being able to maintain an engines idle. Some cars are exceedingly finicky about this, others are pretty tolerant.

heres a stock tb, with a solid seal

heres another thats been poorly hacked, car will still generally run but the motor will kill out occasionally coming off heavy throttle.

I'm glad to hear your car idles fine, I guess thats all that matters.
