wrapping the coil packs

Can anyone tell me what the best way to wrap the coil packs is? using aluminum foil how far down do i go? cover the top and all the way down till the red rubber tip? Is there a downside to doing this?

I would not use aluminum foil! if you are trying to protect them from heat you should google "thermal blanket" and pick up some of that. works great.. I put 3 layer between intake manifold and the valve cover, and I wrapped my header with it.

You could just cut a few peice and cover the tops of the coil packs.

already done that and removed it. Actually rose the intake air temperature with it on. Why no aluminum foil?
