Boost leak?

Can someone with the KWSC kit help me out real quick?

I was going home from work last night when I noticed that something felt a little "off" with the car/boost. I'll put my foot down and go WOT, but the boost will only go up to 5-6 psi momentarily then gradually make its way back down towards 0 on the boost gauge although my foot/throttle is still in the same position.

At the moment I'm so tired that I can't seem to tell if it's always been like this or if something is different from the day before. Is there a boost falloff after hitting 5 psi/4-5k rpm or should it stay at 5psi all the way to redline as long as I keep the throttle down (which is the way I remember it)? Does this sound like a boost leak?

EDIT: Went out and did some extensive testing... seems in 1st gear off the line, I can only get up to 4-5 psi momentarily before it drops down to around 3 psi - I feel like I used to be able to go WOT and have it jump up to 5 psi and stay there till I needed to upshift to 2nd gear. I'm not sure if I just didn't pay much attention to the boost gauge during a wot launch in the past or if there really is a problem. Time to see what KW thinks.

I've only got experience with turbo cars, but it should be the same. You should hit your peak boost and hold it as long as you aren't letting off. Sounds like you've either got a leak or something else is wrong.

Thanks for the reply. I think there's something wrong, power doesn't seem where it should be. Checked all the connections and clamps and don't see any problems... maybe a crack in a connector somewhere? My drive belt's been squealing a bit more than usual at startup recently, I'll have to check that too.

After speaking with KW regarding the matter, I'm led to believe that it isn't a problem and the car is running properly.

you have any gauges hooked up?
boost gauge? a/f gauge?
maybe even a obd2 scanner that can get live data?

Boost gauge & Scangauge for the other info.

After speaking with KW support, all the info I'm getting from the car seems to be correct. Just my memory being screwy probably.

Maybe related to your issue or maybe not but I sure noticed...

my Fit isn't nearly as peppy when it's 95 degrees out with humidity to match!
