My wife is getting the new cr-v. I can't just leave the exhaust alone so i want something thats not gonna be annoyying the hell out of us when we're driving on the interstate. I've heard the greddy mufflers have a really low db level. The new greddy SE mufflers are supposed to be tuned for a comfortable low sound inside and out but a can't find a universal muffler in that line. This is gonna be our "travel" vehicle, so if i can't do it right i guess i'll have to finally leave one exhaust stock. HELP!

X2 for the OG EX-mag. Great low - mid sound. And when you punch it it sounds sexy. Not droning at all. I had a whole RS*R Ex mag on my civic and ppl loved the sound. If you add a header to your car it makes the sound a bit lower but still sounds terrific.

 

I went with a universal Magnaflow on my Fit and its perfect. Another member took my advice based on my review and was also VERY happy with it All I did was replace the muffler, didn't mess with the resonater. I suggest measuring your stock muffler, then go to Magnaflows website and find the muffler closest to your muffler and go from there. Remember, if the Magnaflow is shorter, they can always add and extension and if its longer they can cut down the pipe. You sound like me, so I think you'll find my advice good on your project here. I even added a K&N typhoon and that too was exactly what I was looking for, good "fitment", sound and overall quality.

i have the apexi ws2. little quite till you press on it and the soud is a low rumble.

 

If you want quiet just leave it stock

 

I also think Magnaflow might be the way to go - it is very quiet.

 

^^^ +1 i went back to stock exhaust on my car after running megan for a while. loved the looks but not the noise.

but i did spray paint it matte black (engine enamel) to hide the ugly bath tub faucet. lol.

 

Are you asking for a quiet muffler on the Fit? Or your wife's CR-V? The way you phrased it sounds like you're looking for one for the CR-V...

If it's the Fit, I'd look for an EP3 muffer. Slightly louder than stock, flows much much better, and looks badass on the Fit

 

Wait like a civic(ep3)? Dose it fit?

That's what I did about a month after getting my Fit.

Took the rear section off an EP3 SI and brought it to a muffler shop.
In all it probably cost me $100.
Think it sounds pretty decent.

Mind you the neighbor's dog was causing quite a racket...

Silicone earplugs are the cheapest way to go and you can still hear your music.

Difference between stock muffler & ep3 muffler on my supercharged Fit is night and day when it comes to flow.

 

Don't you know you're supposed to put a Folgier's can on there that sounds like someone doing kimchee squats into a trombone? It's what all the cool kids do with little 4-bangers! ;-)

 

The red plastic can works well except for the toxic burning.
