Yeah its terrible, i tried waving but he didn't see me, I was hoping he was on here, looked like a nice clean gd. The roads were terrible today with all that rain, i was worried i was gonna get stuck in a lake that was forming underneath the tracks by the hospital.

Does anyone know where power steering is powered from ?

Body computer module ?
Or
Engine computer ?

Also trying to figure out what to do intake manifold wise. The rbc alone is a 40whp gain for my setup over a type s mani. Probably going to fab something up unless I come across something that actually fits.

i contacted skunk2 about their 06si pro series intake, it has a sloped design compared to rbc to help with hood closer issue on other swap chasis, based off mearsurements they gave me it seems as tho this would work, but i have not personally tried it yet, i have tested a rbc on my setup and it will not work unless you modify you hood latch which seems like alot just for a manifold, when i have enough money iam buy a skunk 2 manifold, all my money going into exhaust and supercharger parts at the moment:(, but the best one to use hands down is a rrc manifold, countless threads on k20a.org to show this, but i personally dont want to redo my whole rad suport just for a intake manifold.

I will have to talk with the owner of the shop more about it but one of the guys thinks that it's not nearsary to run the Fits cluster and ECU for the power steering. There shop S2000 also has electric steering and It sounded like you needed to get the vehical speed signal for it to work. Like I said I'll try to get more info about it soon.

Eg.

Also breadman, if it's just the rad support and hood latch in the way I have no problem modifying those. Locking hood pins are fine with me. I wasjust worried about the hood closing.

that would work, iam probably gona do the same, i would go with rrc tho instead of rbc, you can get them for 350 shiped on k20a.org, ive got alot of stuff from this guy, here the link
***FD2 CTR "RRC" Intake Manifold $350 Shipped*** - K20A.org .:. The K Series Source . Honda / Acura K20a k24a Engine Forum
i didnt post anything about test the rbc cuz it wasnt a direct fitment
allso has anyone else tried the hybrid racing shifter box yet?? i drive mine daily and i like it alot better, when i can get a passenger to ride with me ill take a video of me driveing with it going thru the gears

I'll most likely go with an RRC as well. I just know the average power difference between the type s and the rbc manifolds on the turbo cars Chris has tuned.

whtsjdm 07-01-2011 06:40 PM

By the way, that hybrid shifter box is te sexiest piece I've seen in awhile. I'll definitely be picking one up.

Ok, so I've come across some $$$ plus I've been working a lot of hours here at work. Looks like this might get done within the next month or two. I'll be raising the car up this weekend. No more being dumped.

Anyone running a racepak iq3? I'm thinking about running an s2k cluster.

Also, has anyone thought of doing an abs delete? I'm pretty sure the Extreme Dimensions fit did. I wish I knew what they used for their setup.

felix is running an Iq3, and I will be as well.

I removed all my ABS except for the module in the engine bay. I will do that when I do the swap. Also install a brake bias. My car has NO ABS right now. LOVE IT

^^ im going to be running the IQ3 pack as well

You bending your own brake lines?

My thing is, why can't the k20a2 ecu run the gauges? What is different in the rsx vs. the fit. I haven't really taken a look at the two wiring diagrams, but it doesn't make much sense.

Anyone think of running a chase bays milspec harness? I was thinking of trying to run on of them, but I'm not sure which chassis would fit best.

whtsjdm 07-08-2011 09:15 PM

Picking up my id1000's/255 and a few other goodies tomorrow. Billet 6265 is unfortunately on backorder right now. 4-6 week wait. I think I've decided I'm going to go with a fullrace/treadstone vertical core intercooler. I don't really like them, and they tend to be more expensive, but I think routing the charge pipes to a precision 750 is going to be more than a PITA.

I have some more misc. stuff to order. Still looking for a decent price on a swap. Seems like kseries have gone up recently for some odd reason.

u can use RSX S ecu to power ur k swap fit....everything would work...CEPT power steering....as rsx uses ps pump and fit uses electric unit which powers off ur stock cluster and stock ecu.......
i've tried that before.......but since i need PS..we jumped it to the stock ecu.

whtsjdm 07-10-2011 03:13 AM

Ordered my mounts/hybrid 70mm tb/timing chain tens./fuel rail and a few other things I'm forgetting. All I'm really needing now is kpro/iq3/swap/turbo(on backorder). Have $ for it, just can't seem to find a swap. :/

whtsjdm 07-10-2011 03:43 AM

Damn it J. Your thread on HT makes me want to forget going turbo and setting the fit up for RR. I don't know where I'd go around here though.

edit: Do you still have your J's crossbar? I have the cpillar and strut bar.

Ordered my Racepak today with the cord and extension for kpro. Came out to around $1160 I think. :/ Also ordered a few eye candy pieces like the Spoon kevlar coilpack cover.

What harness are most of you using?

Questions?

Hello everyone, I have several questions I'm in the process of getting GD fit and would really like to build a K powered fit
1) would any K work? ( exp K20a2, k20z3, K24a2) I would really like a K24a2
2) Trans once again any k trans work?
3)I know that Hasport makes a bracket kit but if I understand right you still use OEM mounts is this true? and if it is can you use the Innovative fit mounts?
4)Is Hasport the only company that makes a wire harness for the conversion?
5)are the K fit axles are the same as egK axles?
6) can you use a RSX or Civic SI shift box?
7)can you use RSX shifter cables
8) is DBW TB needed?
9) can I keep a working A/C in car?
10)can you keep stock radiator and what hoses do you use
Sorry for all the noob questions I'm just really looking forward to doing this swap any help will be appreciated, I'm not planning to do some crazy stuff just want a fun daily driver that is not a thieve magnet like (Eg, Ek, Ef, Dc) thanks in advance.

1) yes any k can work... except the honda accord or element
2)RSX-S tranny will fit only
3)yes you can use the innovative mounts with the hasports
4) as far as i know yep
5) it might be not sure
6) rsx-s shifter box
7) yes
8)cable only unless you make a adapter to mount the DBW to work
9) yep you can you have to get an EP3 ac line to run AC in the car
10) yes you do, but the top radiator hose you have to get it from a GSR motor ( bottom piece) cause the fit one is to small
:wavey:
