yes, I have 2 bov's. I'm going to run my 1g dsm bov until I get the 2"v band flange to weld onto my charge piping for the tial.

Monday I will be doing a whole lot of work, I'll try to keep this thread updated as I move along but when I get working I kind of get into "the zone" so not sure how frequently updates will come.

For anyone that's curious it is an ihi turbo that I welded a t3 flange onto so it fits the manifold (I plan on going bigger one day and it's more cost efficient to modify a junkyard turbo than it is to mod a custom manifold). The turbo came off a ford probe, has a 7psi internal gate and should be good on the fit for up to about 250whp. At 7psi it should make between 150-180, 10 psi will put me between 180-200. rsx type s injectors, dsm blow off valve, ebay intercooler and pipe, aem fic with boomslang harness, blox sandwich plate adapter, aem uego wideband, autometer boost gauge with custom white led backlighting, uhmmmm that's about it. Wish me luck lol...

hope you that turbo is cast iron and when it heats up that flange might break right off. unless you are using a nickel rod mild steel and cast iron dont weld up good together.

yeah, I preheated the cast iron before I welded it up, i stress tested it and it held together well. If anything DOES happen, I guess I'll just have to throw on the giant I have on my integra for the time being.

one day maybe, for the time being I'm shooting for 150ish on a conservative tune. Eventually I do have plans to have a bisi built longblock and shoot for 350ish which is MORE than enough for a fit. I only wish my wallet agreed with my plans lol

Warner-Ishi (IHI) seemingly never released any flow maps I could find for the late 80's stock probe turbo but this has been the closest I could find, except it doesn't have any efficiency islands unfortunately.

I think this would be a ton of fun on a Fit as it is definitely a bit bigger on the compressor side than the GT25s and T25s. But the turbine housing and wheel are still pretty small, and even 230whp might be a stretch without some really cold air (like 50F ambient or lower) and good fuel.

Do you have any serial #'s for that thing? This looks like it'll be a lot of fun!

Keep us posted!

Considering how hot the outlet air will likely be as you are approaching the edge of the map (60% efficiency is standard at the outside lines), you will need about 10psi to move 17-18lb/min to extract only 150whp unless that IC core is very good. But even then that is 60whp, or ~65% more power than stock and it'll spool quickly too!

good luck!

but welded cast iron is probly not gonna last. i know many people who tried welding cast iron manifolds on civics and they always fail again shortly after.

yeah, im still staring at the turbo sitting in my living room wondering if it's worth the risk. I have a giant turbo hanging on my teg that I may use. I have already made a downpipe for it and I kind of secretly want to blow up my engine so I have an excuse for a k24a2 or a built block l15. decisions, decisions lol.
