Some questions on TC-ed a L13

Have a 2007 GD1 & thinking of TC it. Got some doubts in mind.
1) Will the stock engine lasts for another 5 yrs if TC-ed it? (coz car prices in my country r sky high now!)
2) if yes wat will be the max recommend boost in order not to stress the engine?
3) wat will be the estimated gain (hp or whp) if bases on the recommend boost?
4) will it be difficult to maintain it other than changing engine oil more frequently?

Thanks for any advices! Cheers!

1.) How long it lasts depends on how well it was built, how you operate it and how you maintain it.

2.) No such thing as a boost limit.. on any engine.

3.) No way to estimate gains just going on a random boost pressure with no other details.

4.) It won't be difficult and outside of spark plugs and oil/filters there shouldn't be more maintainence than what is already required by the turbo manufacturer and Honda. But it should be inspected visually more often.

If you list some goals and/or a budget, we can provide more help and recommendations.

My main concern is more to the lifespan of the engine. As for HP, was only hoping to get 110-120 whp as will be using it daily.

To increase power/torque by 50% should require less than 35% increase in cylinder pressure. These things are not tied linearly. So you will not be putting excessive stress on the motor. Fortunately the internals are more than stout enough for your goals.

I wouldnt worry about longevity provided you have access to a reputable tuner and quality fuel.. and dont cut corners in the build.

L13A is rated for something like ~82HP SAE Net and 10.8:1CR, IIRC.

What fuel do you have available? What is your commute/environment like?

What sort of budget do you have to work with?

Currently using 98 but will hoping to use back to 95 if TC to save some cost.
My enviromnent (Singapore) is more to 60-70% city driving. Summer throughout the year.
Hoping to stick the cost to ard 3k, might have to source for used kit if over budget.
Is it necessary to change to bigger CC injectors for just the power I desired?
