Rookie needs help with SRI

Hey guys, new member here. I have modified a few cars before but this is my first endeavor with a fit. I have an 08 base model fit right now. This week I am replacing my struts and lowering it on progress springs. (thanks to the boards here) I also ordered a HPS short ram intake, two days later I got an email saying it was out of stack and they were refunding my purchase... I can't find any reputable dealers selling it and I can't find it on ebay. I chose the HPS after reading a few forums and people seem to like them. I had it shipped for $170. Anyone on here that can speak for this intake? is it worth hunting down, or is there another short ram that you would recommend? (similar pricing) I know there are some that are no-no's but I don't know what direction to go. Wanna get this project underway ASAP. I guess I'm just lost and in need of guidance. Thanks in advance.

Anyone ever tried the HKS Super Mega Flow Reloaded Intake? It looks just like a filter that attaches to the intake, but I can't find anyone giving a review of it or even a picture of one installed.

For a little bit more you can get the injen sp. I just put one on yesterday, cool thing is it can be sri or cai.

Did you notice any dramatic difference? was it a $200 difference? I know when I have installed intakes in the past you can notice a bit of a power increase and a difference in throttle response and so on, but some intakes seem to work better than others. Anyone else have the Injen? is it a good SRI?

Expect a louder engine sound and stupid sensitive throttle response whatever you choose. Imo not worth 100 dollars. Maybe look into a k&n drop in filter. Just my two pennies. I drive an 08 sport for reference I've tried fujita cai, k&n sri, and homemade sri. Always come back to the mugen drop in.

Thank you, that's the kind of advice I was hoping for. I will certainly take that into consideration. Ever since the buy went through I have been questioning if Ieven wanna do an intake anymore. Anyone else willing to give there 2 cents?
