Will any cutting or welding be necessary to squeeze this engine in?

cutting

Q: Will any cutting or welding be necessary to squeeze this engine in?
A: Yes, there is cutting it can be done with a hole saw and hack saw. Detailed picture will be posted once the mounts are released but it is really not difficult , it allows for proper placement of the engine.

Hasport Mounts

Hasport is still in the process of designing the actual production mounts. With new kits, we typically drive the car around for a while before we begin actual production. At the moment we don't want people calling Hasport and asking because the mounts are in line to be released after a couple of other kits are put into production. There are other products that need to be done too, such as a header and wiring conversions. Sometime before the release of the kit, there should be installation articles in a couple of the magazines to get the word out on what is involved.

Thanks,
brian g

B-series, no plans for that.

The products available from Hasport will most likely be mounts, axles, and wiring conversion.

oO!

The B16A feels like it would be the perfect swap for this car. Does the L15A spin the same direction the K20's do?

Yes it does, all new Honda motors spin that way.

As for a B series in a Fit, I donno. To me it look just as cramped in just as a K. I think they about the same size, it just looks bigger with that plate between the head and intake manifold. Plus why would you want a B in a fit? I'm sure all the motor mount company probably have the same thinking as me, the K are the future. B series was for the 90's (I have a GSR in my 95 Civic, and I love it) but K is for at least another 5 years maybe 10. Plus I live in California, so if I want a swapped Fit street legal, it would have to be same year or newer.

the fit steerign is electric so no issues with power steering at all .

and there is also room for the AC pump so it will work as well .

So does Hasport want to chime in, now that there is some big horsepower add-ons for the Fit?
