Ebay turbo

Hey I don't wanna be "that guy" but being as GD3 forced induction is becomeing harder to come by. Would my biggest worry in something like this be the turbo itself. Or to word it better, what would be the weak link in a setup like this? Thanks

i have no experience with turbo fit stuff. do you have any experience with what you are getting into?

as with anything with ebay stuff like this, just be prepared to replace something once it blows up. you could get some good miles out of it, it could blow up while you are tuning it.

i would worry about the turbo the most. then the manifold could crack things like fittings, pipes, couplers, aren't going to be too bad and fine to get started. IMO, that is all this kit is good for, the pieces that fit your car.

when i boosted my civic many moons ago, i pieced the stuff together from quality pieces off the internet, slowly. buy a turbo from someone local or a reputable place. then a manifold, then a waste gate....

this way you get some quality stuff and it doesn't hurt your pocket as much. you will spend more than what you have in the ebay listing, but you'll have a quality kit.

so you can spend $1000 now and $750 later as crap blows up, or spend $2000 over a year and have a quality kit.

Yea thats kinda what I was planning on doing as far as intall that kit for REALLY low boost and a super mild tune to get me started and then over the course of then next year replaceing most of the major components for better ones. I know a few people within 100 miles that would help me with it because frankly I would never try to install that myself more for all those "little" things I may not know about installing it whatever they may be. But where I live there arent any shops or tunning places where I can get proffesional help, but i've gotta start somewhere.

I would do a lot more research before diving into it. This is not a bolt on upgrade.

Just so your aware Turbokits.com does not have any left over stock of the HKS kit. I find it unfortunate that companies still have these kits shown on their web page but no longer have any.

I love the deep sound of it though, combined with some aftermarket bits.

Probably the best way to go.
Otherwise, skip the eBay kit and just buy piece by piece until you have everything.
