My 2013 GE8 was stolen and recently recovered. Long story short is I think my insurance will declare it a total loss. With that said I think 'Im going to buy it back from them so that I can swap a k20 into it and make it a dedicated time attack car.

I'm bummed that there are no off the shelf k20 mounts available for the GE8 but have read on various threads that the CR-Z has very simlar geometry.

Can anyone here confirm this for me? Whether or not I buy the car back from the insurance company kind of hinges on whether or not the relatively affordable Hasport mounts for the CR-Z will work (more or less) in a GE8.

Im pretty serious about this. I think the chassis is great and would be amazing with the right engine and trans under the hood.

I've done f20/22 swaps into corollas and stuff and those were a walk in the park but FWD is a relatively new thing for me as I've always been a corolla guy and the fit was just a cheap daily driver that grew on me.

PS if I buy it back I'll be selling a lot of cool JDM parts off it (whatever hasnt been stolen)

yup i used them and they fit perfect.JDM Fit has short hood but still i had enough space in back that my brake booster did't need changed.in CRZ there is more room in front and less in back with these mounts.in ours there is opposite.and when you do swap insist on installing radiator and Ac fans to inside,not outside.
