Where to get a new rear bumper?

I was backing out at Burger King today and somehow missed an Acura Legend that was parked behind me. I backed into them which put a large dent in my bumper right above my exhaust. Oddly enough her car was completely undamaged.

I'm going to have to replace the entire rear bumper. I've been wanting to put on a JDM bumper for quite some time but could never justify it. I figure now is as good a time as any. I know that the rear bumper support would have to be removed in order to use the JDM bumper. Is there a replacement for this that would serve the same purpose? I've seen mention of "J's bar" from AJ racing in other posts, but I can't seem to find it on their website any more. For those of you who have replaced the rear bumper - how much did it cost? If it's a whole, whole lot more than a USDM replacement would cost then I may just not do it.

If I DO decide to just replace my bumper with another USDM one does anyone know how much it might cost? Is there anyone I could order it from besides Honda?

Thanks

One possibility for a USDM bumper is
Genuine Honda Replacements Parts

The price seems to be quite reasonable - but there are still freight costs and painting....

For almost any part and different suppliers see the thread

Thanks for the tip. 156 is a LOT less than I expected it to be. I'm going to take the car by the local body shop and see how much it would cost them to order it. If it's more than that then I'll order it from that site and just have the body shop paint it and bolt it on.

Please note that the OEM Honda parts come pre-painted so you should be able to install it yourself and save some money.

Are you sure the bumper comes prepainted? The Collegehillshonda site doesn't show separate listings for the different colored bumpers like it does for the spoilers.

My mistake. I was looking at the rear spoiler. The bumper itself doesn't come painted. Bernardiparts.com has it listed for $147. Honda Parts and Honda Accessories from Bernardi Parts

Shipping on the bumper is going to be over $150 dollars. It will be just as cheap to let the body shop order the bumper.

Question - how difficult is it to remove/replace the bumper, including moving the Sport trim? My body shop is going to charge around $544 to order, paint and replace the bumper. I'm assuming the bumper can't be too hard to replace so I plan to do it myself if it will save me a significant about of money.

The bodyshop put on my new bumper today. It ended up costing me $450 in total.

I noticed when I got home that the Sport trim that goes on the rear bumper has a small gap between itself and the bumper on the side that had the dent in it. I checked my mom's fit and her Sport trim fits completely flush. I plan to take it back to the body shop and ask them about it, but does anyone here know if the sport trim comes with adhesive or something to make it fit flush? If so I may buy some double sided tape and try to fix it myself.

Can you not read? This thread is from 6 months ago and the OP already replaced his rear bumper.

If you're selling something, go to the Buy/Sell forums and stop spamming these other forums
