Mugen Style Grill Installed

Well I finally installed this grill tonight. What a B*&!ch...Fitment is ok not the best but it does look pretty good. I had it painted black with some clear coat. Sorry about the dark pics but my battery was dying out....
Tell me what you guys think.

Being a Mugen kind of girl - I love it! Never saw one before. How much and where did you buy it from - if you don't mind me asking. Is it made for the Jazz and is that the reason it was hard to mod to your car? Lots of ???? But I think it looks really cool.

I love Mugen to. It's like buying Louis Vuitton for cars, lol. They are selling these on ebay for like 24 bucks now. I used a real Mugen emblem instead of the ugly fake one they send with the grill. For some reason the fitment was bad and it is supposedly designed for our U.S. Fits but I made it work and it does look good. Thanks!

It will be a little while before I get the hood. Any issues when you installed yours? You can get away from using hood pins right? I installed the Mugen emblem with the nice strong double sided tape it comes with on back of it...Fit nicely over this tab that the grill has in the center.

I sent Scott of Kings Motor Sports an e-mail about this grill to see if they stocked it and this is what he wrote back:

Good Morning Cat!

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately Mugen does not produce a grill kit for the Fit that is a straight bolt in. Since the Mugen part was designed for the JDM bumper, it requires lot's of modification to install on the USFM Fit bumper.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Scott

I think it looks great but if it is a hard installation -???

Cat, the grill that mugenfit79 put on his car is not a real Mugen grill. It's a fake / knockoff.

The real Mugen grill, as King told you, does not fit on a USDM car as the bumper is different.

IMO, the grill does look good, but I wouldn't put the emblem on.

I'm pretty sure mugenfit79's replica Mugen grille is actually a replica of the JDM one. The grille is supposed to sit flush with the front bumper, but as you can see, there is a gap at the bottom of the grille and the bumper. If it were a JDM front end, it would sit flush.
