Mugen spoiler

Will the wing spoiler off the Mugen Fit on Kingmotorsports.com fit on US Fits? It requires drilling I'm sure, right?

Something I'm curious about too.

I think it should, but I would like confirmation on that.

I'll plan on calling King to find out.
I'll post again when I do.

Just spoke with Mike at Kingmotorsports.

The original mounting holes will need to be filled and the Mugen spoiler will mount in a different spot. So it will not mount directly into the stock holes from the OEM spoiler.

Chris, do you have the mugen spoiler? If so, was this what you had to do to mount it?

I'm looking into getting the roof spoiler [84112-XK7-K0S0-ZZ]. I was hoping I'd just paint and bolt it right on to existing holes.

mugen, spoon, Js all require drilling... even on JDM models. You have to drill holes but it does fit.

What would the reason be to have the original holes filled?

The wing spoiler needs a total of 4 new holes drilled into the top of the hatch. None of the existing hole from a sport model are used.

Mugen (Japan) sells a piece that will go over the holes on the hatch. Attached by double sided sticky tape and this is what it looks like on my car:

Don't know why King doesn't sell it, but it could be because it only comes colour matched as they don't seem to sell anything that comes colour matched (even though you can get them from Mugen Japan).

Where did you get the piece that covers the holes? You said Mugen Japan but I can't read Japanese so I probably can't find it on their website. I'd rather have that piece than get the holes filled..

It's actually called a Tail Gate Cover

Painted part # is 84113-XK7C-K0S0-** where ** is the colour code. ( ¥13,650)

Unpainted part # is 84113-XK7C-K0S0-ZZ (¥12,000)

Maybe King can special order it for you? I got mine direct from Japan.

Roof spoiler is 2 screws and double sided tape and no the mounting holes do not match either the OEM spoiler or the Wing spoiler.

Although the roof spoiler should (i'm not 100% sure) cover up the holes from the OEM spoiler.
