Mugen Replica Spoiler / NJ body shop

Well i purchased the Mugen replica spoiler from HondaFitTuner.com
link: HondaFittuner.com :: Aero Styling :: Spoilers :: Mugen Replica Spoiler Fiberglass (no LED) (fits 07-08 USDM HONDA FIT)

Pulled off the stock spoiler and was upset to find 5 holes!

Now this makes the whole process much longer and costly. Should I have a body shop sand down the holes, fill them up, even it all out and paint that and the spoiler and mount the spoiler? Or should I try to find a mugen rear tailgate garnish to cover up the holes.

Also if i go with the first option does anyone know of good body shops in New Jersey?

a mugen tailgate garnish won't cover up the holes left by the stock spoiler, it goes at the base of your trunk to make that area flush with your bumper.

i would just buy metal plugs that fit the stock spoiler mounts and a can of OEM color matched paint: primer, paint, wet sand, repeat if necessary, then hit it with a few layers of clear coat, wet sand, [again] repeat if necessary. that way you can go back to the stock spoiler if you ever change your mind or decide to sell the Fit or your parents get pissed off at you and make you change it back (i'm only teasing, i read through your spring install drama LoL)

There actually is a Mugen garnish to cover to holes.
Mugen Dom had one that he got from Japan.

ohh, i misunderstood. Ciggy said tailgate garnish so i assumed it was the one at the base of the trunk

that changes everything. if you have the cash for it, do it

Exactly what I need. This would also help if I ever do sell the car the owner could go back to a stock spoiler. Now where can I find this piece at an affordable price?

nowhere. You'll either go to the dude that Dom sold it to, or order it on kingmotorsports

you'd be one of the few with that. I wonder if you can email King about it? I'm sure they could track one down for you.

Lol but this piece is so small... but I do need it bad. I'll see what i can work out. I'll call a few people maybe KingMotorSports could give me a good deal on the piece probably not since it will be a god damn special order from mugen head quarters !!!!

edit: Can someone that can read the REAL mugen site let me know a part number/price on that piece? Difficult to navigate a website I can't read

if you get the piece, sell your wing and get the real Mugen wing with LED brakelamp. That shit would be tits. I think the non-LED replica still has that space in the middle where the brakelight would've gone, right? Looks a little weird like that.

I'm keeping this spoiler I like it, **** the led lamp. Yes it has the space but the space is like the perfect size to buy a Mugen badge and stick it there.

Stickers and emblems FTL!!!

Once my ride is completely debadged, everyone will still ask me "What car is that?" just as they have been with the logos.

IMO badges are wasting your money and exemplifying that your car is a sleeper all in one.

Well I was planning on just leaving the flat surface for now it looks fine without a light or a badge.

My biggest concern is getting that garnish at an affordable price. No use getting the spoiler painted if I cant put it on. The garnish look like it will act like little diffusers as well lol.
