Now here's an idea!

Let's say that two Fit owners want to jazz up the looks of their vehicles. (Pun intended). Let's say that one had a white Fit that looked a little plain; the other had a MR that was a little too fire engine looking. Here's what you do: trade parts.

Trade the bumpers, the ground effects, the spoilers, the mirrors, maybe even the door handles. Now that would be one -- er, two, great looking Fits. What do you guys think? (Anybody got any Photoshop skills?) Anybody volunteering?

i actually thought of that was gonna do my headlight housing in white and maybe the ground effects to match my wheels, but after thinking about it i'm not sure how it would look or if anyone would want to try trading.

Umiekun did this with black (sort of). He painted his hood and spoiler gloss black. It looked pretty good.

Alred car did a first, as well. He bought a pair of SSM headlights and put them on his MR. I have to say... that looked good as well.

It all depends on you're taste, sense of style, and your aim. If you take the time to plan it well, it can turn out very nice. (Also, get some advice, such as mine, from other Fitfreakers )

Btw... what did you have in mind??? Cause your fit is neither color that is listed... so I'm just wondering...
(I think that some silver parts may look good... but I'd have to draw it out and color it/photoshop it to see...)

I think my BBP would only look good traded with TW (tafetta white) or that yellow color (which is not made in '08). I've had my Fit for 6 weeks now and still have not figured out how I'm gonna trick the outside. That's why my brain is going crazy thinking up stuff like this.

Well honestly... for me... I like to keep the outside simple.

But yeah white would also definitely go well with burple as well. I dunno about yellow (trying to go with the laker theme? like those Toyota FJ Cruisers?... hahaha)

VW did this back in 1996. Every now and then I see on at a cruise night.

I would trade doors with you, but that wouldn't help as we are both BBP sport.

Doing the bumpers? Probably not. Doing an MR lip kit on TW might not look too bad. Possibly the mirrors and head lights too.

SeeRem, I don't have any pinstripes, so there would be two freak Fits, indeed! Probably not a good match. LOL.

My other idea is to give it the Mini Cooper treatment -- bonnet stripes, checked flag decals on the mirrors and roof. Just to confuse people and turn a few heads. What do y'all think about that?

(BTW if you've never been to the Mini Cooper web site, that has to be the most entertaining car manufacturer web site there is. MINIUSA.com)
