Front lip scratched heavily

I was going into the parking lot of the gun shop the other day and scrapped the lip on the front of my 08 Fit pretty harshly underneath. You cannot see anything until you get right up under it, but it makes me sick to think of it. Anywhere I can get this one piece cheap. It looks like it screws off and on easily. Sucks for me I guess.

Unhappy

Just as ALL have replied, its gonna happen

Simply pulling out of my garage, I scrape quit often.

Touch-up paint was my first response.

Then, I realized NO ONE can see up under the bumper cover!

I am in the first step of recovery of my Anal/Retentive disease. I am admitting I have a problem.

Join the club, haha. But really if you can't usually see it there's not reason to replace it cause you just going to scrap the new one too.

Sorry you got some damage but it does happen in the Fit. Just have to watch the dips and high places of where you are traveling. I won't go to visit my Uncle because of where he lives - I know the Fit will get rubbed. Told him I will have to rent a car to make the trip so he comes to see us instead - really nice Uncle that doesn't want his nieces car to get scrapped up.

I'm still baffled as to how you guys are scraping your lips on a stock height car. I have had my car lowered for a year and only recently noticed I scraped a bit of the underside of the lip on the passenger side.

Truckbedliner doesn't really work.
Only lasted a day or two before it got scraped down to the plastic again.
I don't care anymore and will get a new lip if it get severely busted.

PA is the land of high curbs.

Just backing out of my garage, I sometimes scrape, when my front wheels come down off of the pad onto the driveway.

Then there is the parking lot stops. I scrape on those too, and mines stock suspension.

and mountains... that's how i scraped..

i'm still lowering mine anyway

i know it will scrape but i already sanded all of the paint off under the lip so if i do scrape its just going to show black plastic.. i don't regret the truckbedliner... besides a little bit of black paint is a lot cheaper than base color touch up paint

Spray some Rhino Liners under there. That should do the trick.

it would not work because it would just get scratched off again. plus you cant even see it and if your going to lower your car you really wont see it

First scratches on bumper

After 4,000 miles I had my first owie on the Fit. I have about about 5 scratches on the back bumper. Any tips for touching up with the touch up paint?

Thanks,
CarGirl
