A friend of mine told me about this. My paint is already turning pink, I already have a plan of what to do.
What I want to do would probably cost $350 and the car would be painted.

Ill probably just do it myself.

I think that is the best cheap solution to an age old problem I have ever seen. Looks fantastic.

exactly what i was thinking. its hard to see flaws in cell phone pictures and i guarantee it looks weird or cheap in person.

The irony of your statement is that the concept of wrapping the car in vinyl as opposed to painting is both cheap and weird. It gets the jobs done.

i dunno man, im sure if you put this car side to side with someone that knows how to do a rattle can job right, the rattle can job would look 100 times better, and probably cost around the same.

In the thread, the OP says that up close the vinyl has the orange peel look in some parts. Just like a cheap paint job.

what do you expect its $350 job.

up close it looks like semi gloss paint. all i can say is its better than rattle can.

i wouldnt do my whole car like this but to some this is really what they can afford. i think its good just to get by and it looks wayyy better than it did before. I dont think he had anywhere to rattle can since he lives in an APT

Check out the $50 paint job thread on H-T. Some of them are actually quite good.
