How Do I to Protect the Underside of the Front Bumper

Hi all,

I have scraped the underside of the front bumper of my 2009 base Fit several times while backing out of the driveway of friends' homes. Can anyone provide me with a suggestion on how I can protect the bumper from sustaining any more damage?

Thanks,

Jim

Unless you make a plate or something to fix to the underside, your not gonna protect it. Just spray the underside matt black so its not noticeable. Doing mine today as mine is hella-scraped.

It's just one of those things that can't be avoided. As long as you don't drive into raised parking lot stops your scrapes won't be noticeable.

Driveway Scraper

Try to cross the driveway at an angle & low speed; unfortunately, the Fit's low stance assures that there are SOME driveways you WILL NOT be able to enter/eave without scraping.
'07 VBP Sport 5MT w/ minor appearance & comfort mods!! (AND a scrape or two on the underside of the front bumper.)

drive in/out at an angle then center your steering wheel so your wheels give you more clearance. it shouldn't be too difficult if you're not lowered.

when entering driveways/entrances do your best to angle the car in. Also do your best to go as slow as you can, with out disrupting other traffic flow. the last thing you can do is not worry about it, its just the under side of the bumper and as long as your not hitting the entrances at a fast speed.

Somebody here has some COOL metal canards (matt black) with the side wings for 80.00 shipped that would help.
But mdbrich has the only truth about, it don't do it. slow and easy will keep it from happening.
