removed rear spoiler

I removed the rear spoiler from my 2009 Fit so I could attach my bike rack. I want to leave it off but there are several holes. Anyone kow of a kit or something to plug the holes? Don't really want to get into body work.

I have a 2008 and have the same issue as you. The spoiler is attached to 5 holes total: 2 bolt holes and 3 holes that are more of an oval shape, is that right pastaman4? The clip part should be 91604-SAP-003 that's placed in those oval holes, for me that's what it is. Trying to find a similar one that can be put in place of it to fill that hole.

Yes the 2009 fit has the same setup. I end up having to remove the spoiler each time I want to use my bike rack. I put the spoiler back on after I use the bike rack because I don't like the open holes and figure water can get in them and cause corrosion. All three fit models come with the spoiler so there does not appear to be an easy solution.

I sure wish there was an easy fix to this, such as possibly just making a piece that does simply the opposite of those plastic grommet pieces. I will continue to ask around the office and look at different stores in the area and see if there's a good fix for this. Honda Dealer might have a solution but will probably overcharge for the fixed part and not tell me what the part number is so I can look for myself. Thanks for responding! I'm sure get this figured out!

I had the same issue when I changed spoilers, I filled with rubberized calk and painted with touchup paint. The threaded holes were a little harder to hide, I used a set of plastic caps that the top snaps to the base with the bolt's head inside, and used teflon tape on the threads to seal from rain.

Did you simply screw a 6mm bolt back into the threaded holes? I like the cap-on-bolt idea.

And you just filled from inside the hole with rubberized caulk? I know it sounds like I'm repeating what you just said but I wanna make sure I'm reading it right so I don't mess up if I do take that route

Is there any bike racks that work without removing the spoiler?
I'd like to get one but this may change things

Caulked from the outside and these are the boltcapsTYPE they come in black too. Lowe's in the silver boxes in specitaly hardware section.

just to clarify further, you caulked the snap-cap to each of those three oval-shaped holes and then painted to match color?

The snap caps are for the 2 threaded holes, use the 10mm bolts that came with your spoiler and wrap the threads with teflon tape. the oval peices are in the hatch and I caulked just a little too much and took a bondo spreader over the top to level off the caulk. The next day I painted with touchup paint.

PS if you have the ovals "out" carefully scuff up with a peice of scotchbrite to aid in the paint staying on better
