switchback turn signal led..check it out

i recently did changed my signal bulbs to switchback led bulb (stays on white, then switches to amber when turn signal is on) it requires a double filament socket which our fits do not have so i did some custom modding...i used a universal double filament socket and tapped it to the existing socket & parking wire. i am positive that i am the 1st fit to do this mod. here are some pics i took earlier before it started to rain.

here is just driving light switched on (parking + ccfl angeleyes + led strip + signal)

Thank You..... I bookmarked the link... That is a mod worth doing. All of the other I have done have been mostly under the hood or under the car under the dash, and a few small thing to the interior. I can't believe you didn't receive more response about something that cool and functional.

This is pretty damn sweet but looking at your car in the vid i was really wanting to see the fog light blink too. I don't know why but my brain was expecting it and I got excited and then it didn't and i thought that may be a cool idea.....

hmmmmm..... lol

Good work tho looks great! VERY BRIGHT LIGHTS everywhere now haha

Not sure exactly how ohanahuichubbz did his, but the mod has been done, required some serious modding from my buddy (he's an electrical genius) But I will say the parts needed were two 1157 switchback bulbs, in which I got from JLC lighting, 06-11 Civic turn signal connectors and sockets, electrical prongs to go inside of the connectors, new wiring helps (since the Honda wires are somewhat flimsy) and resistors, which I still haven't got yet. It's better to clamp the wiring into the connectors rather than solder, and I suppose that's all I can say for now. The turn signals are hyperflashing since the resistors aren't in. The one's JLC sent me weren't the right "om" However, they did insist that by hooking up the resistors to the rear turn signals would solve the issue, with in which I'm guessing LED bulbs, which are relatively cheap anyways. But I must say, I am happy with my lights now! Looks like a Lexus! Getting a lot of stares now....Name: 108_zps9c8cac66.jpg

Hi old post, Trying to figure out how to wire this. I’m trying to get more light for the GD3. I’m guessing you pull the positive wire spliced from the parking lights to the new double filament socket? Hence the parking light will always stay on but when the turn signal switch turns on it negates the parking light and turns on the brighter turn lights?

There's full adapter harnesses here now that are completely plug and play. No splicing needed, it just connects into the factory plugs. Includes the sockets and everything and you can even add resistors if you want to use LED bulbs on the front for white parking lights and brighter yellow turn signal lights.
