Talking blox short antenna installed with pics!

Wanted a short antenna for two reasons 1) I really didn't care for the flappy r/c car style of the oem 2) I intend to get a spoon spoiler asap . I purchased it from icb motorsports I believe then saw them at my local shop. I paid 15 shipped they're 16 at the shop. Anyhow they come in 3 sizes ; short as you'll see in pics. Medium basicly spoon but metal.and long a slightly shorter than oem version. I was originally headed toward the medium as I didn't want to loose signal. I don't care for the way the skinnier basee models ( spoon as an example only) sit on top of the roof mount as opposed to flush or at least covering the hardware. Anyhow the short version is 2" and flares at the bottom as the oem does. It gets even better reception than stock. My guess is because its metal. Its a dark gun metal color with the blox logo etched. It comes with a dual sided stud so you can line up the logo . I'm not a vendor or affiliated just happy with a product and wanted to share also the price is great I know there's a few on fleabay for cheaper but the quality of this as whell as the look of the blox is for more superior than the difference in price.

Looks nice. The only problem with short antennas is with the FM radio reception. Some of them only captures strong FM radio stations....

I've been able to pick up more stations with the shorter antenna. The two I frequently listen to are kdvs a college radio station in davis, ca. Another is broadcast from a local high school lol. I have noticably better reception with this antenna. Its metal rather than rubber so better signal

Purchased directly from Blox 18 bucks free shipping had it in 2 days. Huge improvement over the stock in the looks department. Haven't noticed any loss in reception on the 6 or 7 stations I normally go between.

It looks just like one of the 3'' one's that you can get on ebay which has very poor reception...i'm just wondering if the one you have -blox- is constructed with different material to enhance the reception, if so i'm down for one.

The other thing that caught me eyez wuz that Ford Falcon in the background, i'd luv to get my hands on one of those as a fixer upper..

A friend of mine got one from ebay and put it on his element. He didn't like it. It was made of plastic with a aluminium sleeve over it. Parked next to each other in a parking garage I was able to listen to all the major aired stations. Syndicate radio I guess. He wasn't getting anything in the garage.
