I thought about a smaller antenna, but was afraid of signal loss. My stock one seems to be shitty at times. Weird. I'm gonna give this a go.

My 2" Blox was horrible; static everywhere with FM reception on favorite stations.

I ended up selling it off and went with a 4" from eBay. Not better than stock's reception, but much better than the 2" Blox. Which, btw, is not metal, but plastic. At least exterior-wise.

I agree, my blox short antenna gives me crap reception. I keep
it for looks and nothing more because I use my iPod instead of radio.

Call bs if u like. Mines metal and I get great reception. I live in a major city maybe that's the difference. Not sure on that but my appologies if I led u astray. Sidenote I painted mine recently with plastikote still works great imho

I will have to look into this before I switch. Like I said my stock one doesn't work all that great sometimes & I do use my radio here & there.

i just received my blox mini antenna medium sized. did any of your antennas come with thread adapters? my packaging only contained the antenna itself and its not long enough to go into my car's antenna base.

Mine came with a small metric stud that screwed in to both the antenna and the base. I believe it was like that so you could line up the logo. Mine was the small so possibly different. Hope that helps

alright so the little threaded stud can be unscrewed from the antenna, so i unscrewed it enough so it sticks out as much as the stud from the original antenna, and i was able to then thread it into the antenna base. hope that holds it in place.

thanks joey^^

If your worried it'll come off on its own ( or with some help) you can put some loctite on there for peace of mind

Medium basicly spoon but metal.and long a slightly shorter than oem version. I was originally headed toward the medium as I didn't want to loose signal. I don't care for the way the skinnier basee models ( spoon as an example only) sit on top of the roof mount as opposed to flush or at least covering the hardware. Anyhow the short version is 2" and flares at the bottom as the oem does. It gets even better reception than stock. My guess is because its metal. Its a dark gun metal color with the blox logo etched. It comes with a dual sided stud so you can line up the logo . I'm not a vendor or affiliated just happy with a product and wanted to share also the price is great I know there's a few on fleabay for cheaper but the quality of this as whell as the look of the blox is for more superior than the difference in price.

How did you mount it? The one i bought did not come with the treaded piece.

It did not come with a treaded screw and I don't see how one will fit inside on the bottom. There is a allen wrench type of screw on the bottom, i don't know......

Can you take a pic for me?

Typically there is a double threaded screw at the bottom for you to attach the antenna.
