Tow Hook For 2007
Hey guys.
Found this great deal on a tow hook with cheap shipping.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-T2-RACING-SCREW-ALUMINUM-CNC-TOW-TOWING-HOOK-RACE-FOR-08-12-HONDA-FIT-/261396725815?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AHonda%7CModel%3AFit&hash=item3cdc758037&vxp=mtr
It says it screws right in for an 08. I have a. 07 and the body is almost identical. My question is is the thread pattern the same for an 07 as it is for an 08. Will this screw right in?

Same here. All I have on my base is a cover on the bumper. Unless you mean the hook underneath the car. Anyways I rather get rid of the cover and replace it with something that adds something to the car.

It looks similar to this.
This is the GE8 version, which is pretty much the same as the GD3. If you check your glove box, you might have a small pouch that your dealership gave you with a small booklet of information on your car as well as a small tow hook. If you can't find it, check the for sale forum and see if anyone is selling theirs. Most [hardparkers] are buying aftermarket tow hooks when they already have an OEM one so you can prob buy their old one.
Otherwise, I would prob just get the eBay one if you really want. Though most tow trucks won't even use it. :P

Wow $15, that is cheaper than oem. I was just about to order a second oem one for the track, but this is now an option. I will look into it. Some clubs require you have front and rear installed while on the track, to not slow things down and inturupt others track time.

Here is mine! Love it. Had to get a sticker to tell what it was because we got tired at car shows having to tell people what it was. One lady thought it was a mounting for a video camera.

^^^ There is a mount that attaches to the tow hook, I don't remember the company. A couple guys had them at the track.
Have you needed to tow? It says it's good to 1.5 tons of force.

99% of the people here on this forum are never going to tow their car. Those who do, prob won't use their front tow hook anyways. Aftermarket tow hooks are purely bling for hard-parkers.

For the track I use the OEM for the front. I ended up buying the Ebay one for the rear, it was cheap enough. I'm going to test the strength of it, might even throw it in the tensile tester, its cheap enough. I'd be impressed if it was 1.5 tons cap. The Fit is pretty light.
