Paint Chips on Front End

Paint Chips on Front End
I'd like to put some plastic film on the front of my Fit, but I'm not going to cover the whole thing. I'm wondering where most of you have seen the most paint chips on your Fits. That's where I'd put the plastic. From walking around and looking at cars, it seems that the front bumper gets it the worst.

Thanks. There's a limit to how much plastic I can spread across the front of the car, so I'll have to decide where it will do the most good.

Wow, TWO, 2015 Fits? Welcome.
From your Fuelly data, it appears that Silver saves gas! LOL

With a slope-nose car like a Fit, you WILL end up covering a lot of area with the protective film.
Our '07 has chips on the entire hood, the lower third has the most.

One thing about doing the whole hood: you won't see any seams....Not that the paint film edge is that visible, anyway.
PS: Have you considered the spray-on 3M Paint Protection Film?:

The hood is going to chip first as it is metal.
Typical applications are a portion of the hood 1-2 feet, with or without the entire bumper cover. Average installed cost for the Fit is between 700-800 for the bigger hood coverage and the full bumper cover. You will have outliers on both ends for material, location, and installer experience.
Despite the upfront cost, the clear bra will pay for itself over the long haul.
3M has a new Pro Series Scotchgard material - that is the one to go with. very clear and backed by a 7 year national warranty, and is now self healing. Minor scratches to the polymer top coat flatten out with the heat of sitting in the sun or the application of hot water.
