my FitS on GMR

Hello fit friends, I'm new to the fit and these forums. I actually got my fit about a month ago and this car has turned me into a total enthusiast. I am currently leasing the vehicle because I did not know how I would feel about this car after 2~3 years. It's fair to say that I am fully hooked! I am a huge fan of the Civic Type R, but it is quite above my pay grade. This '19 Fit Sport has type R vibes with the sport body kit, and it was easily in my price range. No brainer! I am keeping my vehicle fully stock, until the time comes when I decide to keep it or not. And that of course depends on whether or not Honda releases a Fit Type R.

The only reason I even thought of picking up a Fit is because I saw a 3rd gen Fit on the highway and it immediately caught my attention with their slick aggressive styling. I thought, hey, that's a neat-looking micro minivan. I hope to inspire other future Fit owners who see my awesome Fit Sport out on the road!

Haha, micro minivan. A very apt description.

I frequent GMR. I used to ride it on a motorcycle, but have been using a bicycle lately. It is a fun road. Hope to see you out there!

That's awesome! Guess Honda can still capture the enthusiast at the lower end of their line!

I think the Sport is a great sweet spot. With the hfp line you can see Honda actually went to trouble of considering how to make the car better (if you want). And its affordable. No pipe dream superchargers. Just, what would we put in it if we weren't looking at every dollar because it's a cheap car?

There won't be a type r. My advice. Get the sweet orange floor mats now. See what happens 😊

Yeah, absolutely. The more I think about it, the more I believe it is a really good beginner enthusiast car. Relatively inexpensive tires and suspension mods are the basics of performance tuning and that's where I want to get started on my Fit (if I decide to keep it, I may swap to a manual Fit at the conclusion of my lease). There's no real need to super/turbo charge the Fit. Other cars lend themselves better towards horsepower tuning. Not the there's anything wrong with that for folks that wanna go all-out.
