I love it! I need wider tires...

I bought my 2015 Fit last year and I'm really digging it. I came from a '06 Cavalier to an '04 (non-turbo) Impreza, to a '97 F-250 (still have it if anyone wants it), to a '13 Sonic (gutless) and finally to the 2015 Fit. I have a 6-speed, and my only gripe is not being able to get traction taking off around corners. The biggest improvement to my Impreza was wider wheels and tires, and there's information on the internet everywhere about what rubs and what clears. I haven't found anything about the Fit.

What's the fattest rim you've achieved on a 2015 Honda fit without rubbing?

There are tons of threads about wheel/tire fitment for every generation of Fit. It is much more commonly modified than all of the cars above.

most people go for 16x7 +45 with 205/50/16.

A good tire is more important than width of tire.

A reminder, drive safe folks.

A 205 would be a huge improvement with good tires over my current 195 with...well, whatever it came with. Thanks.

I plan to run the same thickness and a little bigger diameter on good winter tires. Any success stories?

Narrower widths are better for snow traction than wider tires.

That's why I'm going with the standard width for winter. What's the maximum I can pull off in summer tires? Top post gave a great recommendation.

I'm already looking for winter tires I can fit on my stock rims, and there are a lot of good options.

I'm running 205/50/16, and it rubbed a bit after lowering. Corrected with camber adjusting bolts, but unless you roll your fenders or stay at stock ride height you're not going to have much luck going wider than that.
