Wanted a truck....got a Fit!
Hello,
After nearly a month of ownership I have decided to join the forum!. I bought an excellent condition 2010 Honda Fit Sport 5MT with 107K. I had a 06 Civic coupe that was beat up inside and out, but ran well enough that I was going to hold on to it until I bought a truck. I saw the Fit for sale and decided it might be a good compromise to get something newer, inexpensive, fuel efficient and still had hauling abilities. So far I am very happy with my decision to purchase the Fit. I get 40mpg on the highway and even if I am heavy with my foot I still get 32-34 mpg! I rock the seats down 24/7 and can't believe the amount of space this little car has!
Favorite feature- dashboard cupholders!
I am still getting used to the rev hang and clutch. 1-2 shift is the trickiest, but I can shift smoothly through the other gears by letting off the gas a sec early before clutching.
Just ordered a Sickspeed Super Down Low shit knob and will also be replacing the stock shift boot with something else (not sure what yet). The dealer had put new tires on it, so when those are worn I will replace with 205/55-16.
I am looking forward to being a member here at FitFreak.

Welcome and congratulations on your Fit! Show it to us when you can. There are lots of great choices for parts, service and many owners willing to help you. Safe driving and happy modding!
I honestly didn't care for the Fit before owning one...didn't care for any Honda product to be honest.
I only purchased it after becoming fed up with a Ford dealer who wouldn't deliver my Fiesta ST in time.
At first I thought I made a terrible decision....then I realized the massive amount of cool add-ons available (wheels, suspension, lighting etc.)
Overall I'm not upset. I ended up with a car that also has 3 years of comprehensive warranty for the same price as the Fiesta ST
And it's in a much cooler color than Green Envy (Majestic Yellow Pearl).

Will do. Once I get the new shift boot on I will post some pics.
