Just purchased a manual 09 Fit from my girlfriend a few weeks back so I figured I'd join the Fit forums. It just hit 160k last week, I'm the 3rd owner of it. We had a full service record from the previous owner plus during her ownership I had an oil analysis done on it - zero indication of premature wear. Really the only thing I'm concerned about is the stock clutch, but I figure I'll probably get another 20-40k out of that. There are also a few rust bubbles on the roof above the windshield that will need to get taken care of, but that can wait till summer. Still need to figure out how I'm going to deal with it.
While the girlfriend owned it she removed the muffler and installed an intake on it so it's a little more engaging to drive lol. After I got it I added a set of Integra meshies to it with new snow tires; the wheels are super light and it's super fun to drive out here in the snow. When summer rolls around I'd like to lower it a little and run a 205/50 tire on it (currently has 195/60's on it). The forums here gave me a few ideas as well, I'd like to install steering wheel audio controls and adjustable intermittent wipers. Then at some point a rear swaybar, larger front swaybar and maybe Civic Si seats - I think it'd be a really fun practical daily driver.
It's also really nice that I now own a Honda as I work as an express tech at the Honda dealer. Being able to access all of the schematics and procedures for maintenance/repairs on this car through Honda SIS is invaluable - the only maintenance item left on the car is a valve adjust and without SIS I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable tackling it on my own lol.
