2007 Honda Fit Engine Splash Guards

Hi,

Did some searching. Doing some searching. Perhaps this is faster. Sorry for what seems to be a lazy question: Is Part # Honda 74111-SLN-A00 supposed to cover the transmission / engine? If not, is there a separate piece that does so, and what is it called?

I feel dumb for asking, but here comes the 'click' to post. Thank you for any help.

74111-SLN-A00 part. Unless the one on my car now is broken, I don't think it covers the engine / transmission from debris, etc.

Is there a rubber splash guard / shield that does what this aluminum race plate does? (protection--I don't care about wind resistance).

I just installed a new splash shield in my 2008 Fit today and can confirm that it's supposed to be bare. I know it looks weird, but that's just how it is for this car. For the second generation Fits, people have used the cover from a Honda CR-Z to fill in the center void, but I don't know of any such "mod" for the first generation Fits.

Yeah, no worries. I'm guessing there might be a piece that goes there (intended for markets outside of the US).
