From Evo to Fit...

Hey all,

I did it. I just left my ridiculous car payment for a 2007 Honda Fit Sport in red! So, I just wanted to say hey. I am pretty well versed in cars so I hope to help out here and learn a little too. I need some decent cosmetic stuff since the wife will kill me if I go too nuts with this car.

Anyway, just saying hi.

Kris

Hehe..I just did the switch from an 05 Eb SSL Evo8.
I have no regrets since my purpose to save money
for a house and bike. No regrets what so ever. No
power, but handles great. Good luck with it and welcome.
This is a great forum, reminds me of S2ki.com.

Thanks guys...I was upside down...But, I got a decent deal and tossed only a couple grand out for being upside down. Payments are now HALF of what they were with the Evo!!! So I am stoked. Plus, a wife, 3 kids...It is better to keep my cool and not go upgrading every other day.

Well let's see...It is Milano Red...I guess that's right?! My wife likes it but thinks I look stupid in it. I am 6' and 240...Blad (on purpose), goatee, and covered in tat's. So, I guess I look a little goofy in it.

Kids dig it. There is enough room in there for all 3 and they like it. I took the car to get tinted today. 16% in the front, and 6% in the back. Looks really good on the red. I ordered the floor mats today, arm rest, and i-Pod dohickey.

Like I said, the last car was an Evo 9...it made 343awhp and was really fun. Previous was an SRT-4 that made 500whp. That little thing used to run 11's. It was fun. So the Fit is definitely different for me. I had a few sponsors with both cars and I am not seeing the chances of that happening with the Fit! Although I am not going to go mod crazy for a bit. Maybe an intake and some dress up items. Defintiely would like some bronze wheels...

anyway, i got off track. What can I say? The head room is nuts! I love that. The car drives nice. A little road noise but it is nothing like a 3" catless exhaust or an atmospheric wastegate dump. I do get people looking at it. We went out today in it and I caught a couple people looking at the car. And heck, it has enough pep to get me into traffic coming from the on ramp and stuff. So for me...It is great. I just needed LESS of a payment and this did it. The gas mileage is awesome...And overall I am happy.

NOTE: I was a little tripped out about the paddle shifter. Cute little addition but I felt like it should be on something with a little more power. But it will give me something to do in traffic on the way home. 10 miles takes 1 hour and 30 mins!

Im coming from an evo VIII to a fit and my payments didnt change much, I went from 470 to 430 a month. A little rollover is the case though.

But I think from day to day, the Fit is way better in terms of a fun daily driver, cheaper to maintain and not too flashy too.

Welcome to the club

i'm coming from an r32...seems like we're all coming from hi-po cars into these little bundles of jdm joy. the r32 is sitting at just over 300awhp, no small feat for being all motor (lots of work done to it).

it'll be a good day when i get that phone call telling me my fit is in.
