Talking I'm Honda-less... 4 now

...but a Fit is in my future

I sold my 91 Civic hatch yesterday. Last night my wife said some beautiful words "Honey, why don't you just go to the Honda dealership and put a deposit down on a Fit?" Wow!

I'm thinking a Milano Red 5 speed Sport...
I can't wait!

I went to the dealer today. No hassle. No "would you like to see our civics." Just MSRP, a date and a VIN.

It was so nice it didn't even seem like I was at a dealership. Wow.

I'm so hyped--they have a Milano Red 5MT sport coming their way later this month with MY name on it. Oh yeah!

Thanks!

I just found out that she arrived a week EARLY! I'm psyched!

(My wife is already jealous and asked me if we could trade in her car... I just smiled)

She's so nice! My first impressions (vs my 1991 EF)
-More power
-the electric power steering doesn't have as much feel as pure rack and pinion (saw that one coming)
-I miss the temp gauge but like having the tach
-She ROCKS

I'm working on pictures but this sums it up right here:

What am I doing on the computer? That's nuts... must go drive...

So I figured that since I ride my bike most days that I wouldn't put many miles on the fit. Yeah Right. Who was I kidding. This car is just too much fun to drive! (that's a good "problem" to have) Whenever my wife and drive it's the fit. It just gets good gas mileage. She even thinks its fun to ride in. I just let a buddy of mine drive it and he came away smiling and saying that this would be the next car he gets after they get a family car.

The only thing I haven't gotten used to is "the stare." At first I thought it was them thinking that I did something wrong but then I realized that there just aren't that many people who have seen one in town. In town I have seen 1 SSM, 1 TW, 1 VBP and 2 NBP--and I don't see them on a regular basis.

I love this car!

Congrats tonejunkie, if you want the temp guage there are a lot of us using the ScanguageII for additional guages. There is a ScanguageII thread for more info just put it in the search function at the top of a forum page.
