That DSG $ervice isn't too bad if you DIY. I had decided early on that it would be a DIY if we had one.

VW dealers are quite proud of their services.
Sad to say, being a certified old fart I'm going to pay to have the service done. I want to make sure it still is covered by the power train warranty. I bet a DSG replacement would be brutal.

yah, 40k miles for the service.. will definitely be the next owner's task.. lol

30k for haldex maintenance on the R.. which will probably wont be for me to worry about either.
my 8 yr old Z had like 20k miles when i sold it, so..

I've put 10,000 miles on the AP1 in two calendar years.

But that's driving May-October & there were two three week stretches in 2016 when it didn't move an inch.

yah, thats understandable, mike.

i have 7k miles on my STI bought feb 2016.. i only put like 3500miles on my hobby cars since i have two.. 7000 miles total max a yr at best. my dd i put maybe 10k miles a year.. then rest of the driving are on the GK on the weekends and rental cars during the week.

in total with work, i do about 25-30k miles yr driving probably. not sure. i go where my work takes me.. planes and rental cars.

so i realized pictures of my GD and GE are all gone. lol it was probably on one of the earlier pc's i had were the HD crashed and died. i was also an android user until both my motorola phones died and could not extract the picture files from the internal memory.

it might be backed up somewhere in the server at home, but too lazy to find it now. oh well.
if i come across it again, i'll post it up. oh well..

Pictures are on my hard drive, plus on two back up drives & for good measure up in the cloud. Ain't losing my pictures. Oh heck no.

The trouble with Flickr is they could do what Photobucket did some time in the future. Don't depend on those free sites staying free forever.

Nice to see folks adding miles to their cars. Well done.

The problem is, not many companies list their rates.

I follow a member with a CTR who has the pro-kit only and doesn't seem to have any issues. also lot of people praise the pro-kit for a DD as a visual and performance improvement.

https://www.civicx.com/threads/eibac...ck-sport.9876/

Only company that I found that lists their rates besides Eibach was RSR

1.2" front drop and 1.0" rear drop
148 lb/in front
188 lb/in rear

Assuming linear since its not a number range.

Reached out to SWIFT again thru the suspension guy I usually go with and hope he has better luck. Also asked Vogtland if they could tell me the rates. H&R doesnt list, but I'll reach out to them. Only concern is their suspension has more 'rake' than others. 1.2" f and 0.8" rear iirc.

Yesterday was OSHA training off-site all day and part of this morning. Back to the grind.

Sucks about your parking spot Kenchan

Just got a call from our Honda dealer...they have a black CTR coming in! Scheduled for late April.

The GM is going to email me the pricing and vehicle details.

Oh snap!

Got get it!

I can see myself trading up to a Type-R in a few years. Championship White for me though.

I did see a red one yesterday on the road. First local one I've seen besides the ones on the forum.

I haven't seen one in person yet. Only pictures.

Here's what they emailed me...

2018 Honda Civic Type R

$ 39,990.00 *! Price

$ 895.00 Auto Butler

$ 2,848.23 TAVT Tax

$ 599.00 Administrative Fee

$ 122.00 State Fees ( Electronic Title , Lemon Law )

$ 44,454.23 Total

The Auto Butler (whatever that is) would go away and there would be a trade to factor into the deal.

Decisions, decisions....

shinjari- hope you find the springs that make sense to you.

thanks for the sympathies on my parking situation. lol i found 3 other spots that might work.. also if i dont mind the roof level, thing is wide open too..but i dont like getting wet in my work clothes. i also heard that my key has access to the garage structure next door, so i might be able to find another spot there. more walking is good for me anyways.

i got these new 212 high grip mechanics gloves that are similar to my old Sparco work gloves that were discontinued.. not bad. will give it a go when i swap the STI wheels later in the week.

i also bought these high grip gorilla gloves for $5 to try.. not bad either. going to let my kid use it to carry my wheels to and from the basement.
