Nice to see the Civic coming along and good to hear about the WRX as well!

I'm back from a convoluted business trip that included me driving a 16' box van 750 miles. Did a whole lot of furniture moving as well.

If you ever want to be assured that your personal vehicle is nice, just rent a box van and drive it around in traffic and on the Interstate for a few days. I think our Fit would now seem like the best vehicle ever!

alright, got home made a few more owl face magnets since my wife apparently lost one.. she was recycling a bunch of older computers she picked up from her clients place last week in da GK and im assuming the magnet stuck onto one of the computer cabinets and the operators there didnt think twice and toss it.

i told her not to keep the magnets out in the open cause im using some really strong magnets on them... oh well.

Got my updated bill from my car insurance place for da WRX. cheap for me, only $24 more than my 2016 GTI i traded per 6 months.

so i opened up the WRX half way at 250 miles break in. pulled nicely but definitely not linear like how my STI is with the AP. hope cobb releases their 2019 version soon. will do the stage1 and also download their valet and econ profiles. my kid will only get to drive under econ mode which lowers boost significantly. lol

have a good tues everyone!

Not bad on the insurance!

Have you seen any threads or articles on what kind of quarter mile times people are getting with mildly modded WRX's? I'm curious how much they pick up with the usual tune, intake, and exhaust mods.

Back to school here. I can't believe they start so early. Earlier every year. Son started back last Friday and wife started back on Monday. She's in school and works so we don't see a whole bunch of the wife/mom.

actually i’ve not looked at any of those wrx threads.. lol. i’m driving this car very mildly and don’t plan on doing any serious power mods. solely going for drivability.

AP stage1 is approx 15-18% increase in power so looking at probably 300hp/300lbs range. should be a tad slower dan my GTI was, but with added grip faster off the line consistently which is wat i want. 0-60 5 sec expected.

yah my kids start next week but my younger kid has orientation and open house this week to get situated. time flies!

alright, got my tracking numbers for the bits i ordered. should be yet another fun weekend.

drove the WRX through some really bad congestion on da way home.. car does well in bumper to bumper. less tiring vs AT cars.. i hate AT cars in congestion cause you HAVE to keep stepping on the brake to prevent creep.. well unless u have some time to pause to shift into neutral.. but so can MT cars.

Had an eventful evening. Not the good kind. A neighbor's tree fell and hit our roof. Everyone is fine, but the house took a hit. Roof, soffit, gutter, etc are damaged and the tree came to a rest on our deck.

Ruined my plans for grilling last night...lol

Called my insurance company and they are sending out a contractor. I need to find a tree service to remove the tree.

We had one of those afternoon thunderstorms. Wind and rain and down it came.

I'm not a hater of all big trees, but I HATE big pine trees. They can be perfectly health and just fall. I have taken down most of mine, but the neighbor still has some.

Damn GAFIT! Glad you weren't grilling when it happened!

Well first tank of gas with the Ktuner....My previous combined MPG without tune was ~32mpg. With the generic Stage 2 from Ktuner I got 31.7mpg. SO I'm still in the ball park. =)

As for suspension, I think I need to inspect the SI sway...rear passenger occasionally makes a clunk sound on poor roads/pothole like conditions. Driver side has 0 issues.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Thanks Kenchan I hope its something simple...not sure why it would clunk. Everything 'should' be torqued properly. Its a sway bar....how hard could it be? It has (2) sway links...(2) d-brackets...done lol.

Contractors just left. They see more damage than I do, but whatever. They were sent out by my insurance company so they can do whatever they want...just fix my house please!

Waiting to hear back from a tree service company. Once this big arse tree is out of here, I'll feel much better.

Those 1.5t motors are amazing fuel sippers. My Dad's CR-V even gets into the 30's. Amazing for a sport ute!

Fuel mileage has never been a Subaru selling point. They are probably worst in class for any given displacement. It's just kind of the price you pay for the boxer motor. At least it pays it back in torque and attitude! Sacrifice that I'd be willing to make in most cases.

The clunking may not even be the sway bar...

Worth re-checking the few attachment points though.
