the j-translator we got today sounds like a an anime voice actor. she sounds real good. not that i need translation, but we always have one present for big international meetings.

Man that GK paint sounds like a real pain. What color? Is it single stage?

Yeah I can't believe its May already and can't believe some of you guys are still driving your 'winter' cars this late in the year.

shinjari it’s the white pearl tricoat paint. yes it is garbage!

winter cars? my cars are all yr cars. even in summer roads are too cold for RWD since i drive early am. hell, FWD is too slick for summer driving for me. need AWD.

Yeah my Fit is a year round car. Driving the S2000 every day is super inconvenient but it is a great change of pace a few times a week.

Kenchan - STI seems like a good weather car based on frequency of use vs Golf-R during the winter. You mention anime voice actor....you a big anime guy?

Mike410b - yeah, just saying the Fit/GE will get less use and the 'summer' car is awake from hibernation Nice new sig pic btw.

i drive both the STI and R all yr round. i was just waiting for salt to wash away since i already washed the R’s undercarriage several weeks ago. looked at the STI’s undercarriage the other day and looked clean so will only wash the engine bay next time.

nono, i’m not an anime guy at all. lol.

2wd in my area is really limited to warm afternoon driving which i don’t do so.. my drives are always early in the am before cars fill the streets.

Gotcha, gotcha. Yeah I'm excited. GK, Corolla hatch or new Civic Si sedan are front runners to replace the GE. I'm getting excited

Thanks! My friend bought a Canon AE1 over the winter, so he's been using my car to practice on.

Civic Si Sedan is my pick for obvious reasons...haha.

A hatch SI would've been great...I just wanted that LSD/sunroof/active suspension...

I'm waiting for the Corolla hatch before I make a move on anything.

But if I don't love the Corolla, CSi & Fit are perfectly acceptable.

If the Civic sedan didn't have those HUGE vents in the rear bumper I'd be much more likely to do it haha

sounds like a plan.

i saw a new IS350F yesterday and while they look fugly on paper it actually looked alright.
not that i’m going to get one, just thought i’d put it out there.

for me to get the car, it needs something more special than just a pretty interior.

Possibly...the honeycomb design just gets annoying to clean with a MF Cloth. All those nooks and crannies.

alright, got gas on the way home in the GTI. had fun driving the GTI today cause the temp was 84F and the S04's were gripping as they should. psi was a bit too high though as the ride got increasing harsh as i drove home.

anyway, got home and decided to do the inner glass on my R and STI today in the garage. it's too windy outside to do my GTI. dont want dust and crap inside my ride while cleaning the glass, especially being dark leather and all.

i REALLY LIKE cleaning the rear glass on hatchbacks cause i can do it with the gate open. the worst was my G coupe i had a while back.. i had to literally fold the rear seats down and roll on my back to wipe the rear inner glass clean. wtf it was a huge task especially on a hot day. the STI isnt nearly as bad, but still a pita. i like my glass crystal clear so i use multiple towels and lots of Griot's WindowCleaner (basically rubbing alcohol + distilled water).

also checked up on the GK's touch up i did yesterday. so far no cracks or lifting on the paint surrounding the work i did. might hold up. not sure, will see.

since the drive home in the GTI was kinda fun today, i decided to renew the plates. i might still buy a DSG-R later this year to replace but not 100% sure right now. will see how things go. wish i had more parking space..
