Thanks for the video!

We now know that an FRS can be made into a decent car with "just" a $50k engine. Good to know

In all seriousness, that's a really cool car!

I saw another YT video of a stock BRZ with a well sorted turbo set up. Was fine on the street, but puked itself trying to compete in a track day. That's tuner life. The car should have a real power plant from the factory.

Yeah love how its filmed with the ferrari that shares the same motor haha.

Rewatching this reminded me of the Hoonicorn by Ken Block. 1400hp methanol fueled twin turbo AWD Stang

DORIFUTO! lol'ed the BRZ just needs the wrx engine. they boast about great handling but yah, datz cause da car is so slow. any decent slow car will handle well. we see dat all the time in fits going fast in slowmo.

agreed, these corporations spend hundreds of millions on design, testing facilities, production, etc. id be very surprised if some kid can spew something out of his arse expecting itll compete with real cars that come with a real engines. tuner cars are a pita. fun but a pita. full of compromises. when ure young u can convince urselves its fine, but mang, when ure older dat gets REAL old REAL quick.

Yup Yup. Happy Wednesday everyone.

So it appears the SWIFTS that are coming out for my civic are the Spec-R line. Not their usual Sport line. Hope the ride comfort doesnt suffer THAT much. Sport line I didn't notice much in my GE, so hopefully these will just barely be noticeable in my FK7.

Per Swifts website;
"BUILT FOR TRACK DUTY, THESE SPRINGS ARE DESIGNED AT THE UPPER LIMITS OF THE OEM DAMPER VALVING. TRACK TESTED AND TUNED, FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE, YET COMFORTABLE ENOUGH FOR A DAILY DRIVER."

sounds like stiffness of my VWR springs on my GTI. stiffer than the RACE setting on my R but not jarring.

Well sounds like it'll be a great option =) Plus I like that they are black springs...not some bright color.

Now that the concrete is done...I gotta figure out seating for the area.

yah i was never into those bright red springs either when i had my swifts. they were very durable though, unlike them junk teins and tanabes. black springs = good!

sounds like stage2 for ur backyard project.

haha! i’m still at 2 bicycles trying to decide if i want to do the hummingbird or this.. but there apparently is going to be a new product release in June so i might just wait as i’d like to get disc brakes again.

this one goes for like $3K.

got my R a bday present. front ceramic pads by brembo. comparable performance to oem bbk (which is plenty for street) with low dust.

i have to clean the front wheels after every 2 drives which was becoming a pita.. hopeful dat these brembo pads will tame things down a bit.

tesla may have beam fixed their lacking brakes per update on their Model3, but their build quality that looks like a mustang will not work with just a software update. lol

Pretty neat they can update over air.

Still find it funny that a fully loaded Model 3 can be as much as $85k...which is as much or more than the base Model S or Model X.

Yeah they start at $35k....but add long range battery....AWD....paint color option....upgraded wheel option....auto pilot....safety sensor package...technology package....

I'd like a basic one with AWD and long range battery. Think the GF would like the auto pilot nonsense...but meh.

Honestly been eyeing this though https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/...598952216.html
