newb has Q on sport auto trans.

i'm new to owning an automatic honda. owned 5spd's before. anyways, my question is:
how much abuse can the auto trans handle. i have a USDM nbp 08' sport with auto trans. i dont plan on modding until warranty is up.(its gonna be a long five years... ) but seriously, with stock howsepower, can i go WOT with this thing in moderation? it wont be a track car, but i will be doing some spirited mountain driving since i live at the beach.thanks for your input ahead, and i hope i get REAL, EDUCATED responses.

im always flooring it-
you can quick tap down and then floor- or pull back to S b4 you floor it and u can get an extra shift out of it
then when u are in S and tap you are in "full" manual
if you just put in in S without tapping it will hold longer and you can get more out of it-
if you are in D and just cruising- tap down til you see a number displayed- you are still in auto so it will shift out by itself sooner than later (S)

Yes it will be able to easily handle what you described.

You should be just fine - I still find myself leaving when the light changes and there is no one in front of my. I look in the rear view mirror and think gez - why haven't those people even moved yet !

wow thanks guys. i assume no one has had any real issues with these transmissions otherwise it would be a huge deal around here. BTW, why isnt there a transmission category around here? mods need to add that in. they have everything else like "ICE" and "JDM SWAPS" but no tranny forum!

Asking for rep is not the way to get some.
Proving that your a good member and posting good quality posts is the way. If you do that, +rep will follow.
