Smile New to forum, Not to Fit

I'm new here in the forum, but I have a 2007 base Fit AT with 25,000 miles on it. Had it since July 07. Love, love, love my car. The space inside is immense. I get great gas mileage 32-35mpg/city, 35-40mpg/hwy.

I'm very curious about the maintenance minder issue though, It doesn't seem to go off (or I don't get to 15% oil life) until about every 7,000 miles. I get mixed information from the 2 dealerships close to me as to when to bring it in & what services to have done. If anyone has any answers that would be great!

Thanks

as far as oil changes, you should ignore that maintenance reminder
if you are pushing past 1yr. if you are doing a lot of highway miles
with only moderate throttle and rpm's it's most-likely very OK to
have 7k mile intervals if it's within a year.

on my cars that run synthetic, i only change the oil once a year or
once 10K miles.

I change my oil/filter every 3,000 miles. I ignore the oil life indicator. Daily driving causes more wear and tear to the engine than others may say.
