Cool Speedoholic's Intro

Hello all. My name's Josh and I just picked up my '09 Crystal Black Pearl Fit on December 3rd. I wanted a black, sport, MT and they did some searching and finally got one. Here are some pics from a car show we had for Toys for Tots.

On December 9th, some dude side-swiped my wife and I and fled the scene. We got his plate number and are in the process of getting everything resolved. He was in a big ass Toyota pickup and his tires hit the side of the car and left swirl marks all the way down. I know I'm in Nascar country but DAMN!!

welcome.

i dont know about the mirror, but the rubber remains might just polish off?
the crap on your wheels might come off too.

well, i dont believe much in aftermarket bodyshop paint so i'd try to preserve
factory paint as much as possible.

Believe me. I'll be taking it back to the dealership to get it done right.

well, i didnt say YOU do it, just saying that it might potentially just polish off
than giving you a new dusty airbubbled non-color/gloss matching paint job.
that's all.

i know that not all of us are detailers and have the right equipment to do it correctly.
and i would also caution the so called "detailers" at a lot of those dealers too.

The rear passenger door seemed straight but the front passenger door has a couple of creases in it which you CAN'T bondo over cause it'll never look right; they will have to re-skin the door. The right front fender, mirror and bumper cover will need to be re-painted. They will also have to replace the right headlight because it has a scratch on it. I used to be a "collision repair tech" so I'm not taking it out of the shop till it's back to "original condition".

Welcome to the forum - sweet looking Fit. I have shown mine some this past summer and had a blast. Sorry that someone did that to your nice Fit and ran. Karma
will do the turn around on that one.
