New 2010 Fit Sport owner here
Hey guys, as the title says, I managed to sneak a little early christmas present in for myself!
I traded in my cursed 2006 Honda Civic LX for 9000, and I still owed 8600 on it. It had 48k miles, however the engine had 2k worth of work in it, due to the dealership not putting the oil plug in tight enough.
It was also hit 5 times. All while parked. The first time, drunk driver slammed into the rear. 2nd time, drunk driver slammed into the rear of the car behind me, and pushed it into me. 3rd and 4th times were like 2mph bumps that were almost unnoticeable, and the 5th time, a guy from work hit it with an 18 passenger van, caving the driver side door in. So, the car actually had more work done on it than it was even worth to begin with.
My brother works at a local Honda dealership and he called me up on friday and told me that they were having trouble. While at that point in the month they usually have sold 25-30 cars, as of friday they had only sold 3. So he told me to come in, and they would do just about ANYTHING to get something off the lot.
3 hours later I drove out in a 2010 Fit Sport(storm silver metallic), had them throw in the all weather mats, and they even threw in a 250$ gift card. The total for the car AFTER the taxes and fees? 15,775$. I bent them over, and stuck it in their tailpipe and robbed them of the car basically. Oh yeah, they also threw in a 6 year, 100,000 mile warranty on top of that at no charge.
I absolutely love the car. The only quirks I have so far, is obviously the armrest, and the initial mpg on the first 5 gallons I filled up on calculated to 17mpg... wtf. I was getting about 32 on my civic. I'm actually going to go refill again now to see if its changed at all.
Other than that, I plan on doing some interior mods, but I hate exterior mods with a passion. Plan on doing the armrest, and the blue floor lighting to begin with. Also looking into somehow devising a way to make a laptop tray for the passenger. The setup of the dash in the fit looks like it will be pretty easy.
Anyways, I spent a lot of time over at the 8th civic forums, mainly trolling, which is what I'll do here as well, but might as well introduce myself instead of just being the creep in the shadows.

I filled up last night, but it was only 1.5 gallons. It calculated to 24.8mpg.
The meter is reading ~30mpg right now, but I'll find out a little later in the week if it's going to be better than my previous car for my weekly commute. I was getting 29-32 every week and as long as I get that I'll be ecstatic, however it looks like pretty much everyone gets higher than that.

I assume I will.
After having it for the weekend, I love it. I think maybe too much. Right now I don't have anywhere to go, but I want to just jump in and drive somewhere to burn gas so I can recalculate lol.
I do need to get the windows tinted ASAP though. I feel like my privacy is being violated with all the windows haha. GET YOUR EYES OUT OF MY BACKSEAT! THOSE ARE MY GROCERIES! ya know?
