I have been researching Fits and am attempting to order one; apparently, the Japanese market also has a 1.5 L engine but obtains 45+ mpg; are there modifications that can be done on the N. Am. market Fit engine to improve the mpg?

There is an iDsi engine that gets better mpg. We can't modify ours to that.

 

Mines can get 42 mpg on highway with no a/c!
