New to the scene, need a little help

First I just bought the 2012 model, black sport AT. However, it has sat in my drive way since I picked it up on December 30th. Why you might be asking your self? I am paralyzed from the ribs down, so I have to wait until Hand controls are installed. As for the questions, I have been reading as much as i could since I got the car.

1. So since my car is 2012, it was made after 08 so that makes it 2nd Gen and GE8?

2. Do parts from 2009-2011 fit on the 2012 models USDM?

If I have any more questions I will try and post them to have answered. I may not have been able to drive, but I have already done some stuff and ordered some parts.

Pics will be uploaded as soon as I go back to school and the internet is fast for me.

I have swapped the anntenna out for the BLOX 2" mini anntenna.

I have also order the whole dash piece that would house the navigation unit for the NAV model. So that way I can install the Alpine INA-910 dvd nav HU. I also have the Alpine PXA-H100, that you plug into the unit ( ppl really dont know that this extra part is supposed to go with most alpine units to tune the sound and to aid in calibrating speakers). I also bought the Alpine KTX-H100, which is a mic that you pluc into the PXA-H100. You then plug a cord into your laptop and fully customize all the areas. Well worth the time!!

I am also waiting on my Genuine Mugen Window Visors to come in the mail.

As soon as I start driving the car, I have an appointment to install remote start alarm on the car, it works up to a mile away.

Also will have 5% tint all around the rear and 25% all around the front.

I will post pictures to show the install, as well as some detailed to show how it was done.

One thing about the stuff I do is that i cant stand crap. I will go theextra mile to not cut corners or buy junk. I will spend a little extra money to buy quality products.

I try not to start fights and really chose this sight to learn everything that there is to know. If there is something I should know pleasze let me know and all others. Knowledge is power to be selfish and share with everyone.
Cant wait to jump full steam into this site.

Welcome to the site, once you get driving you'll enjoy the handling. For the most part 09-11 stuff will fit, but I think the interior color is a bit different this year. So far I've gotten the door sills, rear bumper applique, storage cover, storage mat and the "digital floor liners" from weathertech to deal with all the snow we tend to get in upstate NY. I also pick up one of those beanbags that hold my Garmin on the dash. I put it right between the center vents and the gauge cluster. Makes reaching it a heck of a lot easier.

Yes you have a GE and as far I know, almost everything will fit/work with the exception of things related to the front bumper.

Welcome, we are here to help!

Thanks for the reply's, as soon as I have the nav screen paid off I will be purchasing the Enkei EDR9 black 16X7, Ksport 12" brakes, RS-R Best-i Coilover suspension, and last but not least the Last Station Air Intake. Yes I know everything is going to cost alot but I plan to buy the rims then pay it off In one month then buy the brakes pay them off in two months, then buy the shocks and intake last. However, im going to wait until I have everything to install it at the same time. By that point I should be used to how it handles, and with the added stuff it will make it seem like a whole new car.
