I've been looking for a car since I found out that my Tacoma's frame is rusted out. Since my round trip to work is 70 miles, I decided not to look at anything that doesn't get mid 30s to the gallon. In the last week, I've narrowed it down to a 2009+ Fit Sport. Now, I'm just waiting for the right deal.

I've been reading this forum gathering as much information as I can to find out what I should look for in a used Fit. I've already decided that I will be getting vent visors, a console/armrest, and all weather floormats as soon as I buy a car.

This will make 3 Hondas in my driveway. My wife drives a 2001 CR-V that we've had since new, and I have a 2004 Shadow Spirit 1100.

Here's what the frame on my Tacoma looked like:

Contact Toyota. If from a certain year range they'll replace the frame for you.

It's a 1999, which Toyota is not fixing. However, they are buying them back. Short version, they're paying KBB retail + 50%. They offered me just over 11K for the Tacoma. I should have the check in about a week.
