How to Ship Items to other Fitfreak memebers.

Ive never understood how shipping Car parts works. Would someone care to explain it to me?

Id love to sell my stuff, just to get rid of it, but I have no idea how to do it.

The more details the better.

Put it in a box.

Put a lot of newspaper/packing peanuts/bubble wrap in the box and around the package.

Tape EVERYWHERE.

If it can move in the box...you've packed it badly.

Here's how I received my set of tail lights, the packaging was exquisite:

That way, the buyer gets their parts and they still look perfect, like this!

You should also create an account with USPS.com and you can print your own labels at home and even get a discount

You can normally get the buyer to pay for you to ship the item or offer to pay for half to sweeten your deal

Thank you for telling me how to put stuff in a box. I was more asking of shipping cost, and shipping providers?

How do you estimate shipping cost? Do I have to pack the item in a box and bring it to the post office everytime I need to get a shipping estimate?

Fine, instead I'll tell you how to use the internet.

Google "shipping costs estimator" or go to USPS/FedEx/UPS website and use their estimator. Have you never heard of those few companies?

There are standard rates depending on the box for USPS otherwise you can estimate your weight and put the exact specs of the box (height, length, and width) and the USPS will give you an estimate

You can also bring your item to a mailbox store and they can tell you how much it would be as well as provide boxes and other items

One thing people don't know about is you can also use Greyhound which can sometimes get you a better rate for a large item as long as it's not too heavy. For instance, I shipped a front lip in a box for my 350z for only $80
